This figure before you is inspired by the beauty of the female figure in light of breast cancer. my sweetest sister Raeda her foto was in a previous months entry is fighting this deadly demon as we approach Thanksgiving. She is a strong and lovely sole and a believer she truly is. with clay I wanted to say those words and in this abstraction it is intended to convey the essence and beauty of the female figure without breasts. As Raeda was considering treatment options, she dreaded losing her femininity in case she were to be breastless.
We all were supportive and reassured her that her life and family was worth far more in fighting the disease. It is my hope to one day present this piece to Breast Cancer Foundation in hopes of raising further awareness to this human experience.
