it took five or so months for this pose to complete, model in pose back in may left me bewildered. for my sake sketches made then saved the day as the clay figure took many hits and at one point came apart and needed scrapping all together.somehow if it was meant to be, I made it happen with adaptations from observations and fond intentions. happily in the end the firing was mostly successful and what remains is a faux finish to dress it up for display
the entire month of october has been consumed with house repairs that are coming to an end. i miss the creative process so much, it is my best use of time. not only is it therapuetic literally it corrects all that is wrong with the world that is irrelevantt. distraction vs focus and concentration
