This wonder of surealism came to bear when John the model posed for us a few sessions. the main focus was given to his front and all of its definition at mid age. little if any time addressed his back and its anatomy; when the time came I refined his muculature to proper textbook correctness. Fortunately that did not sit well in my mind, it wandered in its creative way and read in between the lines literally, I began to visualize the figure of a woman and subsequently their child at her feet.
Before I could reach for a camera and document the changes coming, my hand with sculpting tools in hand transformed ordinary clay into a theme that makes the onlookers pause and wow. Art is all about our unique and personal interpretation so others can journey into realms unchartered.
