Three Graces Survivors

Over a time span of two years, my mind and hands formulated these graceful shapes in all mediums available to me.  It was a fixation like no other, an idea crafted by an artist who insisted on executing it in every fashion possible.  When all three of the forms were seated next to each other as you see here it dawned on me how much they share in common.  as if they were machined off a template when they were not, their outline and curves are spectacular.  in the distant field is my bronze version, in the mid view is the italian alabaster and most recent work, and closest is the clay and earliest dating back to Christmas 2009.
To me they are three lovely graces and together stand tribute to all the women fighting and surviving breast cancer.
Finally this sensitive topic is laid to rest, it was exhausting to say the least.  Nothing compared to what a true survivor experiences in the midst of their cancer fight.
