liberated

 edgy by design unlike my typical curvy line, fullness plump and ripe forms this felt like a departure welcomed.
a few years back i had created a flying spirit in clay and sadly it dried improperly and crumbled.  here i recreated the spirit directly in wax bypassing the need for mold making and casting a wax form. however difficult it was a pleasure to acheive this form in wax and enhance it as with clay so that the end result would please the creator.
liberated is her name as she soars chest up high thrusting forward while her arms trail behind. her cladding is coming apart  revealing her free self.  the surface texture is rich and metallic and however edgy it has its soft, subtle, and luxurious feel.
