this is what happened when my dear friend and mentor Larry Oien graciously left this lovely stone in my care. its colors were papaya like with a meriod of rich streaks in its veins. just recently I lived up to Larry's high expectations of me and completed this sculpture form with a reclined woman clutching her bossom.
proudly I dedicate this and most of my work to the fine women I have been priviledged to know. God bless most of them for the added dimension they bring to our lives, without them we might as well be apes in the jungle. from early on they nurse us and comfort our aches and pains and as life progresses they carry on their mission to correct all that we do wrong. tenderness in us is owed to their nature and in their honor and legacy we strive to be better citizens.
the rest end up frustrating the heck out of us and thereby lead us to low quality stone works that do some good in letting us vent out some anger and steam, fortunatly those messes do not make it into my blog
enjoy, I urge you to look up prior entries up top under previous months in yellow tabs.
