she is magnificant and to date my largest work in clay, inspired by the movie black swan and countless dancers my eyes had laid eyes on. it is truly humbling to recreate an entire figure out of three bags of clay and not question ones knowledge of what makes it graceful and suave.at first I worked from a live model however, as the process is lengthy and impractical to hire a model the entire time. the challange was to maintain her escense throughout from begining to end.
my neighbor has a lifesize scarecrow standing just inside his garage window, and I can proudly say my lady is far more sensuous and disarming to any burgler passing by my patio door outback. she is poised up high amidst a lovely fern and awaits the big earthquake.
